(except for a little bit of teenage girl drama).

-ememilyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13685752659820255013noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-24635772.post-66034878702745971912009-03-18T20:12:00.002-05:002009-03-18T20:35:04.970-05:00madnessso i am pretty upset with the way things are going right now. this past week i went skiing with one of my friends and her family (that was extremely fun, not the upsetting part). while we were there, i tried to log on to check my facebook. nope. apparently my username and password did not match. i double checked and everything was typed right. so i sent a reset password thing to my email. i went to log on my email and guess what... incorrect username/password combination. boo!!!! i was like, what the heck is going on!? it made me extremely frustrated. so i had to reset my email password. well when i did that, i found that all my emails were deleted! you have no idea how frustrating this has made me (unless it's happened to you). i finally, after several attempts, got on my facebook and had to reactivate it. someone had tried to delete it. i got on and all that was different was my default picture. it was a weird picture too. it was of me but i don't remember it.

after all of that, i got on my aol email (which i use for college stuff) and had an email to set up my tennessee email account so i could get information on my housing contract. so i get on and it's a pretty complicated process. but i finally get it set up and i find out that my housing assignment isn't even one of my top three choices! i really thought that i would get one of them considering how early i applied and that i don't have any roommate preferences. i plan to send in a change request as soon as possible. i doubt anything will change and if it doesn't by august, i just won't worry about it. too much of a hassle. and the location is much more convenient than my other choices. just trying to see the bright side of things.

later gators,
-ememilyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13685752659820255013noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-24635772.post-69049879357713891742009-02-22T21:46:00.002-06:002009-02-22T22:04:39.146-06:00everythingwarmth in winter: good, stayed so busy that i barely got anything out of the weekend. i don't remember much about it...
bff might not have LUPUS: my best friend that i've had forever was diagnosed with lupus in third grade and she got a call from the doctor that she her test results were negative. but the thing is that she has to have two negative tests to officially not have it. so please pray for her next test to be negative.
mom crash: mom got in a pretty bad car wreck about two or three weeks ago. her car was totaled. she had a mild concussion and whiplash but that was it.
youth council not doing too well: we had our second official new youth council meeting this past week and i felt the need to argue with everything. i'm kind of upset that our youth group isn't hosting a chili cook-off this year. instead we're doing some other lame fundraiser that takes an extremely long time and is really boring. he (our youth pastor) wants to change the name of our youth group. it is currently "the way" which i think is an awesome name. i don't know what flaws he sees in it but whatever. he probably doesn't know the history of it.
youth 2011 dream weekend: a very... long weekend. i didn't feel like we accomplished much but everyone was saying we did. so okay.
school: is school.
i'm watching the academy awards and slumdog millionaire is getting a lot of awards. i haven't seen it or even heard that much about it but i'm guessing it was really good. now i really want to watch it. it has definitely dominated like the past 30 minutes of the awards.

-ememilyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13685752659820255013noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-24635772.post-88345677716460464652009-01-24T20:26:00.002-06:002009-01-24T20:36:36.028-06:00senior year is kickin up!so the second semester of senior year is most definitely the best. i still haven't gone to school for a full 5 day week yet this semester. this week at school is spirit week, so no dress code. in addition to that, monday i get to go eat lunch at o'charley's because i helped count money for one of our fundraisers. wednesday is a registration committee meeting for warmth in winter, and as i said previously, i love warmth in winter meetings. then friday is warmth in winter! so another four-day week... and warmth in winter!! then of course the superbowl. my guess is that the steelers will win. the week after next should be just as awesome. wednesday night a bunch (like a butt-load) of people, seniors to be exact, are going to go downtown and play laser-tag because we don't have school thursday. since we don't have school thursday, a bunch of us figured, what's the point in going to school on that friday? hmmm, you figure it out. i'll give you a hint: we (another butt-load of seniors) are going to eat at cracker barrel (yum), and it will be a three-day week. so pretty much it's all together a super fun semester. as long as i keep my grades up.

-ememilyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13685752659820255013noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-24635772.post-14903613313032931552009-01-24T20:22:00.002-06:002009-01-24T20:26:27.284-06:00youth retreattoday i got back from a youth council retreat at penuel ridge in ashland city. i was the only one that had actually been there before. we went for a spiritual retreat my freshman or sophomore year and i really liked it. it was kind of awesome being the only one, including the adults, that knew where stuff was and what kind a facility it was. anyways, we got a lot of stuff out about our youth group and came up with a lot of cool ideas. i'm really glad that we had this weekend to specifically focus on the beginning stages of our youth council. a simple sunday afternoon meeting wouldn't have been as satisfactory.

-ememilyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13685752659820255013noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-24635772.post-11967434495189907042009-01-17T20:34:00.002-06:002009-01-17T20:37:56.100-06:00yay for winter time!i really enjoy going to warmth in winter meetings. maybe a little too much. how awesome is it that i have a meeting two days in a row!? honestly? i mean, i'm sure that every time the temperature gets down to 3 degrees in like, michigan, they don't cancel schools. i have never gotten out because it's too cold. maybe that means we should get out when it's too hot as well. i didn't even know they could cancel school because they didn't feel it was in the right temperature range outside. and it's not like our schools don't have heat. i think that if metro had not cancelled first, we would all still be going to school tomorrow. it makes sense for metro to cancel though because they have a much higher number of students that walk to school than many of the other counties. and if that were the case, then colleges should be cancelled to. but no. and it isn't like it hasn't gotten this low before. yes it has been six years, but six years ago i distinctly remember going to school even when it was freezing. but hey, i get a four-day weekend now. :)

-ememilyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13685752659820255013noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-24635772.post-91860999811537731552009-01-14T21:13:00.002-06:002009-01-14T21:20:54.154-06:00new kid joeso there's another new kid in my calculus class. just an update: this is the fourth new kid we've gotten in this class. his name is joe and he is from a boarding school in virginia. woah! two of our other former new kids are exchange students from china. and they are from like the same school. it was weird because they came at different times. another funny thing about joe: last week we (this girl and i) saw him in guidance and were like oh a new kid. the next day she informed a few of us that he was in her third block. funny thing: he didn't start until yesterday and he happens to be in my third block. i thought about calling her out on her white lie but she says random extreme crap all the time (have you heard that she's dating chris brown?). that's basically the most interesting thing that has happened this week.

okay, good night, hasta luego, don't let the bed bugs bite
-ememilyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13685752659820255013noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-24635772.post-67951509269673161422009-01-10T20:22:00.004-06:002009-01-10T20:55:10.040-06:00Christmas, new years, and back to schoollots of fun stuff has been going on lately! i've hardly had any time to blog. Christmas was good this year. since we had our family over on Christmas eve, there was no one on Christmas. so the fam and i just lounged around the house all day. and did basically nothing.

happy new year! this year (or last, haha) we had a party at our house. i invited my friends, sarah invited hers, and my parents invited theirs. it was definitely a party! then the next day i had to pack for our annual ski trip. we went to perfect north again this year and it was awesome! there wasn't really and natural snow at all! it really was not that bad though. i thought i was doing pretty well and i had only fallen once, so i decided to go down one of the slope's most popular black diamonds -- center stage. not the best idea i've had. i started to go down then shortly realized that it would be impossible to ski the whole way down. i had expected to fall once or twice. the thing about falling on a black diamond though is that it is never just a fall. i started out trying to weave around but somehow just ended up going straight. i gained way more speed than i could handle so i knew the only thing i could do was fall. i got about a fourth of the way down. as i was falling, i began to roll, then my skis came off (both of them) and rolled a little more. then i was sliding... backwards and upside down. all together i probably fell a little less than half of the way down. lucky for me, about half of my youth group was watching. haha. they clapped for me. i'm really surprised i didn't get hurt at all. those are the kinds of wipeouts that people see and hope the person that fell isn't dead! haha, jk. it was awesome.

i went back to school the day after we returned home from the trip and found out that i had all the classes that i wanted. there's only one class that i have to have this semester and it is aweful! it's document design and production a.k.a. keyboarding. every teenager in the world already knows how to type so why do they make us take a class that teaches us how? i don't like it but i have to have it. :( and since it's a required class, almost everyone in there is a freshman or sophomore. but i think i can tough it out for 17 more weeks!

party on!
-ememilyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13685752659820255013noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-24635772.post-70018006977636928712008-12-24T22:09:00.002-06:002008-12-24T22:17:56.116-06:00pretty excitingtomorrow is Christmas! look at the base of that word: "Christ." don't anyone forget that!! when you pray tomorrow, pray to baby Jesus like ricky bobby. no just kidding! but baby Jesus is the reason for the season.

we had my mom's side of the family over today and as some of them were leaving, my 5-year-old cousin spotted a star in the sky and knew it was santa. he came in and got everyone and showed us. it was adorable. everyone got really exited.

i'm having a hard time staying awake. we are going to the 11pm service at church and that is way pass my bedtime. drank some coffee earlier but i don't think it's kicked in yet. :( my parents had a good idea-sleep until it's time to go. it's a little late for that now.

hope everyone has a great rest of the night and very merry Christmas tomorrow!!

-ememilyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13685752659820255013noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-24635772.post-58592189061638079072008-12-20T19:50:00.001-06:002008-12-20T19:51:20.522-06:00i'm a volunteer!so i got accepted to UT. i guess that's pretty cool. it's the only place i applied so i'm glad i got in. just thought i'd share.
:)

-ememilyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13685752659820255013noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-24635772.post-30472034474067171622008-12-11T21:34:00.002-06:002008-12-11T21:42:18.795-06:00snow!i do like snow, so don't get me wrong.... but it is so inconvenient! we were supposed to have a choir concert tonight but of course it got postponed. but i had already paid for my dinner so there's money gone that i didn't have to spend. and i had to drive home during the worst part of it! scariest thing ever (not really, it wasn't too bad). tomorrow i was supposed to have a breakfast party in my first block and now that isn't going to happen. and seniors were going to get to leave early tomorrow because we donated a buttload of cans. but now that wont happen either. i was supposed to be hosting a bonfire on saturday night... but guess what? the ground will be too wet. and i had an offer to babysit saturday night that i had to turn down because of the bonfire. now that i find out that it's cancelled, she has already probably found someone else. of course all of these things will be rescheduled but i had already prepared myself for the excitement! guess i can suck it up though. and i won't even get to sleep in because our cleaning lady comes at 7 in the morning! boo snow (on this particular day)!

-ememilyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13685752659820255013noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-24635772.post-83620009796453436662008-12-09T21:05:00.003-06:002008-12-09T21:08:57.748-06:00done with duel enrollmenti just finished my final paper for my duel-enrollment english class! this was the last thing we had to do and we'd be done with the class. it's amazing what i can do when i sit down and focus. the awesome thing is that we still have a week and a half of school left. so party in first block! and we get to leave early on friday because the seniors dominated in the canned food drive. what a great week. :)

-ememilyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13685752659820255013noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-24635772.post-32616455808126917882008-11-30T13:43:00.002-06:002008-11-30T13:47:30.612-06:00black fridayyep, i went black friday shopping. i went to the mall at green hills and it was so not crowded. i got a shirt, a sweater, and a 3-in-1 sandwich maker all for $60. i think that's pretty exciting. several of my friends went to opry mills at midnight on thursday and said it was sooooo crowded. two of them went to old navy and waited in line for 45 minutes! but they got free 1gb mp3 players. i think that's pretty cool. i've got some homework i need to be doing...

-ememilyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13685752659820255013noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-24635772.post-30687733623342772292008-11-30T13:38:00.003-06:002008-11-30T13:43:28.636-06:00i'm pretty proud of my team<img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 275px; height: 231px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhmBWcllZGAv3qGXeAEqWIoHvS_cguMGm4W5OhyphenhyphenzVLmIbzZf_tVjFWL1qujuAgNMPRj0LeQunbShQqkLGfH8XKlxfEq1SEvxQhGRRZ0QH1p15xjtSjMUJ1meePTwYQirBkZ1Uiv/s320/tennessee.gif" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5274538499457938018" />
tennessee has won their past two games, that's an accomplishment for us. but not only did we win, we beat vanderbilt and kentucky. i don't think anyone expected us to beat vandy. even i was preparing for a loss. but then we owned the first half. :)

-ememilyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13685752659820255013noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-24635772.post-12412708063322917512008-11-16T20:40:00.002-06:002008-11-16T21:06:25.298-06:00twilight?<img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 214px; height: 320px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiUseq2aM8c1Nn18bJwZOb4tRvpoVsWPAdPHLQXDdNptwoQlDwUggQ_Q3pUf-nc5CWjTvNf-x0nhfNK6WruJzjTbiNU5WDdW6HO0bb6qv8Gk9O2TgL51OG9Xk35fhIC-Ghg3NBX/s320/twilight_book_cover.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5269457486146555618" />
i have heard so much about this book lately! it seems like everyone at my school is reading it. almost every single one of my friends have read it and they keep trying to talk me in to reading it. when i ask them what it's about they say vampires and my first reaction is, um... no thanks! but then they tell me it isn't just vampires but it's like more of a love story. i still don't think i would like it very much. now they're making a movie? i just think that since i have already made up my mind that i won't like it, if i tried to read it i just wouldn't enjoy it. i like to think that my reading level is higher than that of a book about a vampire love story. i'm not bashing the series, i haven't even read any of the books. i just don't think i'll like them and i think people should stop reading them just because it's the "trendy" thing to do. people who don't normally read for pleasure are reading them because everyone else is. that's just it: it's a trend.

-ememilyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13685752659820255013noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-24635772.post-65670547658069990522008-11-07T22:10:00.001-06:002008-11-07T22:11:50.971-06:00yeah!the bears won our first playoff game of the season tonight in overtime!
